Typography that moves
Kinetic type is having a moment. Here's how to use it without turning your site into a circus.
Letters were never meant to sit still — they just had to, for five hundred years of print. The screen lifts that limitation.
Three rules
- Reveal, don’t decorate. Motion should help reading, not fight it.
- Mask your lines. A clipped baseline reveal feels expensive because it is precise.
- Respect the reader. Always honour
prefers-reduced-motion.
